The Macallan Estate Reserve

Very appealing dark amber clear body. Honey vanilla fudge nose, very appetising. Intense, warm, honeyed, citrus palate. Long-lasting finish that turns towards spice. Only mildly smokey, which is great for me because I am not the biggest fan of peat.

One of the best whiskeys I had so far (although, I must say, I am still a beginner in whiskey with very limited experience). I will need to compare this to the Yamazaki 25 Years to see which I prefer.

Stone Pale Ale

Dark amber pour with very robust and thick, bubbly two finger off-white head which dies down rather quickly to half. Pronounced bitterness that lingers. Bread. Solid measure of sweetness surfaces. Peppery at end. Does not have the floral aroma that comes with American Pale Ale, which is the whole point since this seeks to emulate the British Pale Ale. I think I am not enjoying it that much because I am more of a fan of the American Pale Ale. Very decent, but not outstanding.

2 finger head in my goblet. Dark brown. HAZELNUT aroma and taste. Hints of chocolate. Strong nut flavour. Slight bitterness at the end with some moderate sweetness. Not heavy at all, surprisingly. Very unique and drinkable beer. Really growing on me… Wish the aftertaste lasts forever
