Pour: Light brown, frothy head. Very dark brown body.

Nose: Creamy nuts, roasted coffee, chocolate, caramel, even milk and cream as it warms. Very inviting and robust nose.

Palate: Chocolate, malty, roasted coffee, sweet, full-bodied and robust, yet very light and smooth at the end, butter taste. Very light on the palate at the end, which is surprising for its style. Sense of carbonation.

Fantastic. Ranks up there with one of the best stouts. Very tasty and approachable. The most distinctive aspect of this beer is how it is rich and creamy on the nose and palate, yet resolves itself into a very light and dry aftertaste. It takes a lot of skill and craft to make such a complex and interesting beer.
