Pour: Huge, very foamy, off-white, yellow head. Very dark brown, seductive body.

Nose: Very strong bread note, pumpernickel. Candy, rum, raisins.

Palate: Immediate explosion of big tastes. Nuts, raisins, candy, chocolate, candied fruit, syrup, jam. Very complex, robust and rich. Very very delicious. Hint of a bitter finish, slight warming effect at the end. When the beer is fully warmed up, suprising taste of mould and musty smell.

Epic. Absolutely fantastic, best of its class (Belgian quadrupel) and one of the best beers out there period. It is strong at 11.3%, and it shows. And every bit worth it. So very, very good. I wish the bottle doesn’t run out, ever.
